WHY WAS THE KIT DEVELOPED ?

Successful people have a high level of self-awareness. They understand how they impact on others, their strengths and weaknesses. They work hard to build on successful behaviours and eradicate ineffective ones. In order to develop their self-awareness they encourage feedback from others.

In addition they understand the importance of giving honest, constructive feedback to their team members and colleagues.

This material has been developed to help participants improve their self-awareness and develop their skills in giving and receiving feedback. It also contains activities that give them an opportunity to give and receive feedback from each other.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the session participants will:

  • Have increased their own awareness of how they are seen by others
  • Understand the importance of self-awareness for themselves and others
  • Have worked on their own skills in personal openness
  • Understand the principles of giving personal feedback effectively
  • Have practised giving and receiving feedback
