Originally developed for sales people and managers,
this module has been modified for anyone who deals with difficult
interpersonal situations at work. This includes a wide variety of
people working at all levels in the organisation.
It can be used as a self contained module or as part
of a longer programme on interpersonal skills, change management,
sales or people management.
It is our experience that effective people have a
high level of confidence, self-esteem and self-awareness. By helping
people to become more confident you ensure that they become more
effective.
Most people need to deal with difficult and stressful
situations at work, which lie at the edge of their comfort zone.
This module will help them to confront these situations more powerfully
and effectively.
By the end of the session participants will:
- Understand some of the psychological aspects
of confidence building and developing high self esteem
- Identify situations which they find difficult
and develop strategies for dealing with those situations with
confidence
- Understand their own self image and why they behave
as they do
- Be able to use the technique of positive affirmation
in building their confidence and self esteem
- Be able to use a range of assertiveness skills
and techniques
